I had heard good things about Bar Melusine and wanted to give it a try. Their main claim to fame is the variety of local oysters they have available. I had recently been over to the Hood Canal and tried Hamma Hamma oysters, which are awesome, and this place has them!

We walked in at 5:45 pm on a Saturday. The place was not at all packed but they said they were not able to seat us at a table until 7:15 pm which I thought was odd (the place was only 10% full when we arrived). Anyway, we took a seat at the bar and ordered a round of oysters. They had 7 different types ranging from mild to salty. All the oysters were delicious, and I was impressed with the selection. Our bartender/server was super nice and even introduced my husband to a new whiskey drink which he enjoyed. We also got the clams and an order of fried oysters. Overall the raw oysters are really what you’re there for.

The décor is super cute white bright green accents everywhere. Overall this is a good spot if you want some fresh local oysters.
