A-mazing. We were making a trip up to Alderbrook for the weekend and were told we MUST stop by this place. And I’m so glad we did.
Place: It’s a little ways up 101 but worth the drive. The actual saloon is all outside. Once you get there stay outside and go up to the cashier and order what you want. Then you choose your table. And since everything is outside it can get a little chilly on a sunless day, but they have blankets, heat lamps, a fire pit and even little outdoor rooms that keep the wind out. Basically don’t let the weather and the fact that this saloon is outside deter you from going.
Food: Raw oysters, roasted oysters, clams, chowder, and even grilled cheese for people who don’t like/ want seafood. We got an order of the raw oysters and roasted oysters and they were seriously the best we’ve ever had. Then we wanted to try the clams (in butter and garlic) and they also were the best we’ve had. So long story short we kept ordering and by the time we left we downed 4 dozen oysters and two orders of clams. I regret nothing. The seafood was fresh and the sauces/ingredients they chose to pair the seafood with was delicious and I can’t wait to eat there again.
Drinks: We ordered a bottle of rosé which went perfect with what we ate. They also had cider and beers available as well.
Once you’re done you can go into the store and if you spent $50 at the saloon you get 10% off your store order. The store has seafood to-go and other things like smoked salmon, which was what we got.
Basically this is my new favorite place!
